Privacy policy for the waitlist

In short: when you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and a few optional answers so we can email you once when Evenpaced launches. We don’t sell your data or use it for ads, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing support@evenpaced.com.

This policy covers the waitlist and this website. The Evenpaced app will have its own privacy policy before it launches.

Who runs the waitlist

Evenpaced is run by Srikara Shankara, an individual developer in Sydney, Australia. In this policy, “we” means Srikara Shankara. For anything about your data, email support@evenpaced.com.

What we collect and why

When you join, we store:

Your email address, so we can send you the launch email. We store it in lowercase, without spaces around it.
Your answers to the three optional questions (which problem matters most to you, whether you use a to-do or habit app on more than one device, and whether you’d use a workout log or automatic health check-ins), to help decide what to build and test next.
Which version of the page you saw and the campaign tags in the link you followed (the utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term parameters), so we can tell which ads and posts bring people who sign up.
Your country, as a two-letter code. Cloudflare works it out from your connection when you submit the form.
When you joined, and the version of the consent text you agreed to.

Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver this website and to limit abuse: when you send the form, it’s used to cap how many sign-ups one IP address can send in a minute. Evenpaced doesn’t store your IP address or your browser details. To stop spam bots, the form also has a hidden field that people leave empty, and it checks how long the page was open before you pressed the button. Neither is stored.

Legal basis

For your email address and your answers, the legal basis is your consent, which you give by pressing “Join the waitlist” next to this text: “Email me when Evenpaced launches, with the founding price. One email at launch; unsubscribe any time.” You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did before.

For the rest, the legal basis is our legitimate interests:

your country, the version of the page you saw and the campaign tags: knowing which ads and posts bring people who sign up;
when you joined and which consent text you saw: keeping a record of your consent;
your IP address, which Cloudflare uses to limit abuse and we don’t store: keeping spam off the waitlist.

You can object to any of these by emailing us.

Where it’s stored

Sign-ups are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted in Cloudflare’s Oceania region. Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and the database and acts as our processor. To run its network, Cloudflare may handle your data in other countries too.

To send the launch email we’ll use an email delivery service, which will also act as our processor. We’ll name it in this policy before we use it.

How long we keep it

Until 12 months after Evenpaced launches, then we delete it. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data sooner, we delete it then. To ask, email support@evenpaced.com from the address you signed up with. Deleted entries can stay in Cloudflare’s database backups for up to 30 days before they’re gone for good.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. You can also withdraw your consent or object to how we use your data. Email support@evenpaced.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll reply within 30 days.

If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), or to the data protection authority where you live.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.
We don’t use it for ads, and we don’t add you to any other list.
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, ads or tracking scripts. It loads nothing from other companies’ servers. Cloudflare may set a security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn’t a bot.

Children

The waitlist is for people aged 16 or over.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we’ll ask for your consent again first.
